Our History - Sel Noir Project

Sel Noir is a French brand born from the meeting and collaboration between Mathieu Gonzalez, a state-certified professional instructor in spearfishing and freediving, and David Mas Bertrand, filmmaker and designer.

Sel Noir is the fruit of their passion for the sea.

Sel Noir's DNA is found in the practice of spearfishing and freediving . But the paths of exploration are endless.

The objective is to share the emotions, values ​​and feelings in these practices with the general public, through singular and aesthetic productions, relating the experiences and expeditions of the members of the collective.

Man must reconsider his relationship with his support “planet earth”. Spearfishing and freediving are, for us, a way of being in symbiosis with the element, and thus feeling alive.

These practices teach us humility and respect.
Each day that passes we feel privileged to be able to contemplate and coexist in direct interaction with the sea and the ocean.
